Well, in many ways this describes me. Not that I am a reckless person by any means, but I do believe that you should enjoy life. I have always loved to travel, the whole idea of travel, for as long as I can remember. The sights, the sounds, the aromas of another place, another culture…..it’s inspiring to me. The two things that inspire the most are the absolute beauty of our planet and the spirit of its people. Sometimes people will ask me if I have a favorite place. After much thought, I decided that it is not a question I can answer. It’s like trying to pick a favorite color in a painting. All the colors work together to create a beautiful piece of art – to me, such is our World.

I truly enjoy my job! Every day I wake up wondering what new people I will meet and how I will help them plan their next adventure.

After returning from a jaunt to Puerto Rico, I entered our new office proclaiming something I’ve known all along….”I absolutely love traveling and I love my job!” As someone who has been dubbed a “people person” by others for years, I feel lucky at 43 years old to finally have found my “niche.” Having dealt with the public in varying degrees over the last 20+ years, I can truly say that nothing beats the excitement I feel when sitting down with clients upon their return from a trip. (Sure, sometimes situations occur that aren’t always positive, but that’s when a personal travel agent is even more valued! - I’m here for them, no matter what the situation.) I can’t tell you how I enjoy hearing about a couples’ journey down the Mississippi River on a Delta Queen Steamboat or perhaps a family’s first adventure to visit past generations in Italy. And knowing I had a small part in helping create that experience….just awesome! After all, isn’t that what traveling is all about….the experience!

I would love to help you plan your next experience as well. Perhaps to you that would be zip-lining through the rain forests of Costa Rica, or taking that leisurely cruise through the Caribbean you’ve always dreamed of. Maybe it’s strolling through the Louvre in Paris or sharing the joy you see on your child’s face the first time they look down Main St. USA in Disney World to see Cinderella’s Castle. I hope you will come visit us and let us share some of our experiences with you. Personally, I loved driving that Hummer over the hilly terrain of the Sonoran Desert in Arizona, but also found incredible satisfaction while lying under a thatched hut in Aruba with nothing but a good book. Come to us with the ideas of what would be the ultimate vacation for you. Travel is not what it used to be and custom vacations are being created all the time to satisfy your unique desires and requests. I have been on 22 cruises with 8 cruise lines and I know that a cruise vacation offers a great value and that the experience is as important as price. It doesn’t make sense to get the lowest price for your vacation if the experience is bad. I make it a point to be candid with my clients about the different cruise lines and the quality and value they offer.

Aside from traveling, I can’t imagine doing anything more rewarding than assisting you in planning the most enriching vacation experience possible.

When I was an elementary school teacher looking forward to retirement, I wondered what I would like to do when I reached the end of my career. In my search for something new and interesting, I stumbled over a travel agent course and sparks went off in my mind. I longed to travel and see other parts of the world so I took the course and became a travel agent. After working part time after school and on weekends to learn the profession, I opened Travel Plus of New Paltz, Inc. in 1990. After being on my own for 17 years I wanted to be part of a team of agents who love what they do and offer support and expertise to each other. In 2007, I joined the family at All About Travel.

My niche is All-Inclusive travel. I specialize in group travel.
